The main cold front has passed to the east of D.C., but in its wake there will continue to be the chance for a few showers as the upper-level disturbance (you can see it over WV and KY) moves in. Temperatures will be much cooler this afternoon with highs in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Tonight will be quite chilly with lows in the low to mid 40s under partly cloudy skies.
Thursday will be pleasant, but quite breezy with winds out of the northwest around 10 to 20 m.p.h. Highs will be a bit milder, reaching the mid to upper 60s. Friday, another weak disturbance will track through the region in the afternoon, increasing the cloud cover and bringing the chance for an isolated shower in the afternoon. Highs should reach near the 70 degree mark.
For the weekend ahead, Saturday should be pleasant with partly sunny skies and highs in the lower 70s. Mother's Day Sunday will bring another chance for rain with highs in the low to mid 70s.
