Storms possible later this evening and tonight, cooler Wednesday

A cold front will bring the chance for a few showers and storms to the area this evening and tonight, much cooler air will filter in overhead tomorrow.

Overnight: T-Showers Likely

Lows: 50s | Wind: NW 10-15 m.p.h.

Wednesday: Morning Showers, Cloudy & Cooler

Highs: Around 60 | Wind: NW 10-15 m.p.h.

Thursday: Partly Cloudy, Pleasant

Highs: Upper 60s | Wind: NW 10 m.p.h.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 10pm for Washington Co., MD, the Panhandle of West Virginia and Clarke and Frederick Co.'s in VA.

A cold front will move into the region later this evening and tonight, bringing with it showers and thunderstorms along with cooler temperatures. A few storms may be severe with damaging wind gusts as the primary threat. Showers will continue through the overnight hours and into the morning commute with lows in the 50s. Wednesday will be cloudy, cooler and breezy with highs only topping out near the 60 degree mark.

Thursday, more pleasant weather will settle overhead as high pressure moves over the Mid Atlantic. Temperatures should reach the upper 60s under partly cloudy skies. Friday, another weak disturbance will move into the region in the afternoon, increasing the cloud cover and bringing the chance for a few light showers. Highs should reach near the 70 degree mark.
