But the showers are mainly over the Eastern Shore and finally the persistent pool of cloudy wet air is drifiing off and high pressure will be over us for the weekend.  Perfect weather timing with all the events from The Preakness (forecast here) to the air show at Andrews air base.  Sunday winds pick up a bit from the southeast so the coastal flood warning will likely bebe back Sunday although the Potomac is now below flood stage.  Rains this week were relatively  light in DC but some spots in the Potomac watershed had 3-5 inches which is the reason for the Potomac being so muddy the last few days.  Some summer like heat and humidity in store for next week.  Have a great weekend and some good weather at the beaches too.
