We remain under a humid warm general area of low pressure. With southeast winds the circulation almost has a pattern like a tropical storm although it is certainly not that. But the heaviest rains today and tonight have been west and southwest of DC were some Flash Flood Warnings remain until almost midnight. D.C. and Prince George's County have only had about a tenth of an inch of rain while Culpeper to Front Royal several areas have had well over 3 inches. Wednesday looks to have a similar pattern, although it does look like some of the heavier rain bands will be a bit to the east and then north into eastern Pennsylvania and New York. Finally, drier air comes in for the weekend.
