While it has now become the deadliest year for tornadoes in our lifetime, the pattern for the local area remains fairly mundane. A wind shift will mean an afternoon high in the mid 80s with plenty of sunshine and only a slight risk for a mountain storm. Overnight lows slip into the 60s under partly cloudy skies, with a bit of mugginess in the air.
Higher heat and humidity return in full force for Thursday and Friday with highs around 90 degrees. T-storm chances remain slight. The long holiday weekend brings a continuation of above average temperatures with a hit or miss shower possible, especially Saturday. However the bulk of the weekend and Memorial Day Monday in particular look to remain shower free, so keep your appointment with the neighborhood pool! Have a great day.
