Delmarva beach forecast for the 4th of July weekend
Friday Update - No big changes to the forecast
After a beautiful past couple of days, the weekend ahead looks to bring with it warmer temperatures and added humidity. Here is the latest forecast for the beaches this weekend. As always, be sure to check our Delmarva Beach Resource Guide for the latest water temperatures, tide charts, webcams and more.
Saturday
85/66 - Mostly Sunny, Warm
Saturday should be pleasant at the beaches with highs in the mid 80s under mostly sunny skies. A few clouds may stream in during the afternoon hours, but no storms are expected. Water temperatures are now mild sitting in the mid 70s.
Sunday
87/70 - Partly Cloudy, Warm, PM Storms Possible
Sunday will feature partly cloudy skies and warmer temperatures in the upper 80s as a cold front moves through the region. This frontal system will bring the chance for showers and thunderstorms, with the best chance for storms in the afternoon hours. This day should not be a washout by any means, but will have the highest liklihood for storms.
Independence Day
87/71 - Mostly Sunny, Warm, Stray Storm Possible
The 4th will bring mostly sunny skies back to the beaches as the frontal system passes just to the south of the area. The front will be close enough to allow for a stray thunderstorm. Highs should top out in the upper 80s. Should be a great day to hit the beaches before the fun trip home on route 404. I haven't found any traffic cameras online for the Eastern Shore but you can always call 1-877-BAYSPAN for the latest traffic conditions leading up to the bridge.
