The little area of overnight storminess brought about 1/2 inch of rain to the DC area but 1-2''+ rain to the south. There are evening showers in Ohio and western Pennsylvania that may move across the area, mainly northern Maryland, later tonight. After that the sun breaks through for the Summer Solstice and it will be another hot humid June day. The Sun at 1:16 PM tomorrow, with the solstice so close to solar noon, will be at the highest point in the sky over DC since 1953.
