Early morning showers over the mountains moved east and petered out - with an isolated sprinkle or two still possible. Otherwise expect scattered clouds, heat and humidity with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. There is a better chance for thunderstorms in the afternoon hours, some of which could be strong.

Wednesday and Thursday will be quite pleasant behind the front with highs in the mid 80s under mostly sunny skies. The humidity is expected to drastically take a dip through making for a very comfortable stretch. The heat will be back Friday and linger into the holiday weekend, with the threat of an afternoon storm or two by Sunday.  Have a great day.
