High pressure will dominate the forecast for the upcoming week bringing yet another stretch of sweaty and uncomfortable days.

Overnight: Gradual Clearing, Comfortable

Lows: 60s | Wind: SE 3-5

Monday: Mostly Sunny and Beautiful

Highs: mid 80s | Wind: NW 3-8

Tuesday: Mostly Sunny, Warm and Humid

Highs: upper 80s | Wind: S 5-10

High pressure will build during the overnight hours allowing for gradual clearing and comfortable sleeping conditions. Lows will fall into the 60s. Monday will be pleasant with highs in the 80s, however, a few isolated showers may develop during the afternoon hours close to the Chesapeake Bay.

Heat and humidity will start to increase thanks to an area of high pressure off the coast on Tuesday. A near repeat situation to last weeks stretch of hot and humid days will arrive by midweek. Wednesday and Thursday will feature hazy sunshine, afternoon temperatures in the middle to upper 90s and heat index readings near 100 degrees. A cold front will arrive Friday bringing some relief from the excessive and potentially dangerous heat.
