No record highs are expected today, just sunshine, lower humidity and temperatures in the 80s.

This Afternoon: Mostly Sunny, Breezy and Less Humid

Highs: 83°-87° | Wind: NW 15-20

Tonight: Mainly Clear and Cool

Lows: 50s | Wind: NW 5-10

Friday: Mostly Sunny, Warm and Nice

Highs: upper 80s | Wind: N 5-10

The cold front is long gone and in its wake, cooler air and lower humidity levels for the mid-Atlantic. Highs today will be in the 80s, compared to record heat yesterday at the three major local airports (DCA 98°, IAD 95°, BWI 98°). As an area of high pressure builds to the north, winds will increase. A cool and quiet night can be expected with increasing warmth and humidity by the upcoming weekend.
