In the wake of yesterday’s front the humidity has been erased and we are now left with a cooler and much more pleasant day.

Thursday: Sunny; Breezy & Less Humid

Highs: Mid 80s | Wind: NW 15-20 Gusts 30

Overnight: Mostly Clear & Unseasonably Cool

Lows: Mid 50s | Wind: NW 10-15

Friday: Mostly Sunny; Continued Pleasant

Highs: Low 80s | Wind: NW 5-10

After another record breaking day of heat at all of the major local airports we finally get a break from the oppressive heat and humidity today. The first thing you will notice when you step outside will be the lack of humidity as our dew points have dropped 24 degrees over the past 24 hours courtesy of dry northerly winds that are now in place.  Additionally, temperatures will be at least 10 degrees cooler this afternoon topping out in the mid-80s and will be accompanied by a nice breeze at 15-20 mph with some higher gusts near 30 mph at times.

High pressure will remain in control Friday through Saturday which means a continuation of pleasant temperatures and relatively low humidity.

Sunday a weak front will sag in from the north and despite limited amounts of moisture a couple t-showers can’t be ruled out at this time but the chance of rain is low at around 30%.

For those heading to the Delmarva Beaches expect mostly sunny skies Saturday with highs in the mid-70s and then partly cloudy conditions Sunday with highs near 80 degrees. Water temperatures will run in the mid-70s.
