Dangerous heat and humidity will remain parked over our region today and Thursday.

Wednesday: Hazy, Hot & Humid; Near Record Highs

Highs: Upper 90s | Air Quality: Orange

Overnight: Warm & Muggy

Lows: Low 70s | Wind: SWS 5-10

Thursday: Hazy, Hot & Humid; Near Record Highs

Highs: Upper 90s | Wind: SW 5-10

High pressure will continue to influence our weather here locally pushing daytime highs into the upper 90s accompanied by increased dew points. The result will be dangerous heat that will feel like 100-105 degrees at times this afternoon. We will cool off into the low 70s overnight before once again warming into the upper 90s Thursday. By Friday a weak cold front will drop into and then stall over the region Friday which will give us the best chance of more widespread rain. This boundary will linger for a few days keeping out weather unsettled.
