A cold front will bring the chance for showers and storms through the afternoon hours today. A few storms may be severe with large hail and damaging winds, particularly to the east of D.C. Otherwise expect partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 80s. Tonight, the mugginess will begin to subside as the front moves east and drier air enters the region. Lows will fall into the 60s under partly cloudy skies.
For the weekend ahead, expect partly sunny skies and cooler temperatures tomorrow, only topping out in the mid 80s. There is a slight chance for a stray shower, but it should primarily be to the north of town. Sunday will be very pleasant with comfortable levels of humidity and highs in the mid to upper 80s under partly cloudy skies. If you are heading to the beaches, check here for the latest forecast.
