All things considered today doesn’t look like it will be a bad day but changeable and still comfortable. Expect the few light and widely separated showers this morning to give way to a quiet period with some sunshine mixing in. Later this afternoon expect the action to pick up once again as showers and storm redevelop. The Storm Prediction Center has nearly the entire area under a slight risk of severe storms today with the main threat being strong and potentially damaging winds.
Storms will hang around through the evening before diminishing to just a few lingering showers after midnight.
Tomorrow will feature partly sunny skies and warmer temperatures in the mid to upper 80s with a 50 percent chance of showers and storms mainly during the PM.
Summer-like heat and humidity return over the weekend with highs around 90 degrees but heat indices, the feels-like temperature, will be between 95-100°. Saturday looks to be dry but an afternoon isolated storm can’t be ruled out Sunday.
