The unsettled weather pattern continues today with the heat and humidity back overhead as well as the chance for a few isolated storms this afternoon. Highs should reach the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. Tonight, a stray storm is possible under otherwise partly cloudy skies.

Wednesday will feature more in the way of heat with highs in the lower 90s under partly sunny skies. Showers and thunderstorms will again be possible with the chance of a few storms becoming severe. Thursday will have more of the same with highs in the low 90s and another chance for showers and storms. A cold front is expected to pass through the region on Friday bringing one last chance for storms and highs around 90 degrees.

The weekend ahead will feature warm temperatures and storms possible to the east of D.C. with highs near 90 on Saturday and mid 80s Sunday.
