The work-week gets off to a wet start with scattered showers falling area-wide through the morning commute. Plan some extra time for your commute – some patience as well. The showers linger through late midday before the sky brightens and highs top off near 80. Skies remain partly cloudy overnight with lows slipping into the low and middle 60s. A warm front lifting through may lead to scattered showers late tonight and into tomorrow morning, before hotter and more humid weather is pumped in.
Temperatures will be near, if not into the 90s Tuesday through Thursday with heat indices over 100 degrees. With the heat and humidity comes the daily threat for some thunderstorms. It looks like some relief will arrive by Friday with a cold front.
This month's seven 90 degree plus days have made it a warm June so far and with the upcoming 90s this week, may rival last year’s record as the warmest June on record…stay tuned. Have a great new week
