Lingering Showers but a Comfortable if Hot Tuesday

Overnight: Partly Cloudy Few Lingering Showers Early

Lows: 71-76 | Rain: 30% Chance Metro Area

Tuesday: Becoming Sunny Hot but Lower Humidity

Highs: Near 90 | Heat Index: Near 90

Wednesday: Mostly Sunny Hot but Comfortable Humidity

Highs: Near 90 Again | Wind: NW-N 5-10

A variety of rainfall fell today from almost 3 inches north and east of D.C. to nothing in the western suburbs. Later tonight comes a cold front that will bring in less humid air. Late this afternoon the temperature dropped below 80 for the first time in more than 4 days... a record stretch of 80 or higher. This July is now very likely to be even hotter than last July, which was the hottest month in Washington weather records.

Enjoy the break, because the humidity comes back in time for next weekend and ready or not August is around the corner.
