Midwest storms held together long enough to affect the region overnight. Not everyone got the rain, but those that got hit also had some severe weather. This morning we have lingering clouds but they should break up by mid-day. It does appear this will be the hottest day of the week with highs near the century mark. Combine this with the high levels of humidity and it will feel like it’s 100° to 105°. Therefore, a Heat Advisory is in effect from Noon until 8PM. A couple of storms are possible with a passing front later in the day, but expect them to be few and far between. Drier air begins to slide in tonight with a noticeable change in the air by tomorrow.
The front will hang up south of the area tomorrow and although humidity will be noticeably lower, the temperatures will remain above average around 90s degrees. A passing t-shower is also still possible into the afternoon hours. By Thursday, cooler air will settle in and make for a spectacular end of the week with highs in the mid 80s, low humidity and lots of sunshine. Right now the weekend looks good. Have a great day!
