Delmarva Beach forecast for Friday through Sunday July, 28-31
After another hot week across the D.C. area, what kind of weather can you expect at the beaches? We'll start off by taking a look at Friday in case you are heading down a bit earlier than everyone else.
Friday
Mostly Sunny, Hot & Humid
Highs: Low to Mid 90s
Friday will be the hottest day of the week locally and also the hottest day at the beach if you are headed there through Sunday. Highs should top out in the low to mid 90s under mostly sunny skies. Heat index values should approach the 100 degree mark and winds will be out of the southwest around 5-10 m.p.h.
Saturday
Mostly Sunny, Hot & Humid
Highs: Low 90s
Saturday won't be quite as hot with highs in the lower 90s under mostly sunny skies. A weak frontal system will lie across the region, but don't expect much in the way of storms as instability values will remain low.
Sunday
Mostly Sunny, Hot & humid
Highs: Around 90
The end to the weekend will feature slightly "cooler" temperatures as the frontal system continues to sit overhead. Winds are expected to change to northerly around 5-10 m.p.h. which will help keep the highs down just a bit. There is a slight chance for an afternoon shower or storm but they will be very isolated in nature.
The next update will be tomorrow morning and will feature a look into next week if you are headed to the beach for an extended period of time. Check the Delmarva Beach Resource Guide for more information about the beaches.
