Heat index values should reach between 105 and 110 this afternoon with highs around 100 degrees.

This Afternoon: Hazy, HOT & Humid

Highs: Around 100 | Heat Index: 105-109°

Overnight: Warm and Muggy

Lows: Mid 70s to near 80 | Wind: W 5 m.p.h.

Saturday: Partly Cloudy, Still Hot

Highs: Mid 90s | Wind: N 5-10 m.p.h.

A heat advisory is in effect from 11am to 9pm tonight with heat index values around 105 to 110 degrees this afternoon. Highs should reach around the 100 degree mark under mostly sunny skies. There is also a stray storm possible this afternoon mainly north and west of town. Tonight expect lows in the 70s to near 80 degrees under mostly clear skies.

The weekend ahead will feature mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid 90s Saturday and in the low to mid 90s Sunday. A weak cold front will pass through the region Saturday bringing with it a few added clouds. There is a slight chance for storms each day but the best chance will be in the mountains.
