Heat returns in D.C. and a few storms for the 4th of July weekend

High pressure continues to be the dominating weather feature and will make for another sunny day with highs near the 90 degree mark. Humidity levels are still expected to be low with dew points only in the upper 50s. The heat and humidity will be on the rise through the weekend, with highs in the lower 90s tomorrow.
A cold front will approach from the west on Sunday bringing a chance for thunderstorms in the afternoon hours. Ahead of the front expect hot and humid conditions with highs in the mid 90s. Monday for the 4th, temperatures will be back in the lower 90s with a chance for a few storms mainly south of town as the frontal boundary continues to move southeast.If you are heading to the beaches, check here for the latest forecast.
