The break from the blistering heat and humidity continues! A nice bubble of high pressure has settled overhead and that will keep temperatures and humidity in check. Today will be similar to yesterday, with added passing high clouds, and highs in the mid 80s. Tonight will be mostly clear and refreshing with lows near 60 in the suburbs the mid and upper 60s inside the beltway.

The weekend ahead will feature slightly warmer temperatures with highs in the mid to upper 80s Saturday, and into the upper 80s on Sunday. As high pressure pushes east, we’ll pick up more of a southerly breeze Sunday, leading to an increase in humidity. Hot and muggy weather is on tap for much of the new work week with opportunities for thunderstorms. Have a great end to the work week!
