Humidity makes a come-back today with added clouds…

Today: Partly to Mostly Cloudy, More Humid

Highs: 89-95 | Wind: SE 5-10

Overnight: Highly Isolated Shower, Partly Cloudy, Muggy

Lows: 70s | Wind: South 5-10

Tomorrow: Very Hot and Humid (Feels Like 105°+)

Highs: Near 100° | : SW 5-10

High pressure moves off the coast and our winds will become southerly and transport warmer and more humid air in the area today. A few disturbance will rotate overhead today bringing periods of extra cloud cover, so it could be cloudy at times with breaks of sun. (A shower or two cannot be rules out, mainly in western Maryland and West Virginia.) Highs will top out in the low to mid-90s; a tad cooler in areas with less sun.

The heat and humidity will continue to build into Friday as the mercury will soar to near 100 degrees with heat indices of 105 or higher. A weak front moving through the area Friday will stall to our south and could spark a couple t-storms over the weekend. While we only expect an isolated storm or two Saturday, there will be a better chance of showers and storms Sunday and Monday. The general outlook into the first 10 days of August suggests a continuation of above average temperatures. Stay cool and have a great day.
