A house was struck by lightning and caught fire in Rockville Monday. The fire started on the second floor of that house in the 12000 block of Whippoorwill Lane. Police say there have been no injuries.

The heat and humidity are back with a vengeance as heat indices are near 105. Tomorrow's record is 99 from 1908 and some places around D.C. may approach 100. A cold front moves through late in the day and Wednesday will be cooler. Then by Thursday the air will have a much lower humidity. The weekend looks great also right now.
