Showers and storms will continue to be possible through the afternoon hours, with some containing heavy rainfall and gusty winds. Temperatures will vary greatly from the 70s and 80s where there has been rain, to the 90s where it has stayed dry. Tonight, a few storms will linger before coming to an end late. Lows will be warm in the mid 70s.
Tuesday will continue to be quite hot with highs reaching the lower 90s, but humidity values will be noticeably less with dew points falling into the lower 60s. Wednesday will continue to see more of the same with highs in the lower 90s under mostly sunny skies.
The heat and humidity will return for the end of the work week with highs in the mid 90s on Thursday, jumping into the upper 90s Friday and Saturday before another weak disturbance brings temperatures back into the lower 90s by the end of the weekend. Heat index values Thursday through Saturday may approach the 105 degree mark.
