High pressure which kept the region dry over the weekend will begin to exit and push to our east. Winds will turn more southerly and then south-westerly as this occurs allowing for a return of heat and humidity. Sunny skies this morning will give way to partly cloudy skies this afternoon as we warm into the low to mid 90s. With increasing humidity the actual feels like factor will be in the upper 90s.
Tonight an upper level disturbance will slide our way causing increasing cloud cover and even a few t-showers late tonight into Tuesday morning. Temperatures tonight will only cool into the mid-70s and with a strong southerly wind it will remain muggy and mild. A few showers or storms can’t be ruled out Tuesday morning with the aforementioned disturbance passing through.
Some sunshine will then mix in during the mid-day before a weak front heads our way. Temperatures tomorrow will approach near record highs in the mid to upper 90s and heat indices will be between 100-105 degrees. Cooler and less humid air will filter in behind the front on Wednesday and Thursday.
