Thursday and Friday our weather couldn't get much better for August in D.C. however rain may put a damper on part of the weekend.
Thursday: Sunshine & Blue Sky; Low Humidity & Beautiful
Highs: Mid – Upper 80s | Air Quality: Code Green = GOOD
Overnight: Partly Cloudy; Cool
Lows: Upper 50s – Mid 60s | Wind: NW 5-10
Friday: Sunny To Partly Cloudy; Still Pleasant
Highs: Mid 80s | Wind: ESE 5-10
Yesterday was the 45th day of the year where we reached 90 degrees or greater at Reagan National Airport. Compared to last year at the same time we had recorded 50 days. The next two days our weather will be nearly picture perfect featuring plenty of sunshine, low humidity, and highs in the mid to at most the upper 80s. Over the weekend an area of low pressure and its associated cold front will push into the region. Saturday still looks to be the better of the two days for outdoor plans however a few thunderstorms may develop during the afternoon/evening. Additionally a shift in our winds to the south will bring a noticeable increase in humidity. Scattered showers and storms become most likely Saturday night and will continue through the day Sunday. While the timing of this system may not be convenient, it does look to bring some much needed rain.
~ Have a good day!
