D.C. forecast not a surprise: hot, humid and sweaty

Hot weather complainers, hide! The thermometer will push the middle 90s Monday with a heat index that will make it feel more like 100-degrees. Some relief is on the way later in the week as high pressure builds across the mid-Atlantic.

Monday: Partly Cloudy, Hot & Humid, Isolated Thunderstorms (30%)

Highs: 92°- 97° | Heat Index: 100° +

Tuesday: Partly Sunny, PM Thunderstorms

Highs: near 90° | Precipitation: 50%

Monday will be the hottest day of the week with highs reaching the middle 90s. Heat index readings will top the 100 degree mark in many locations. A few cooling showers and thunderstorms may develop during the early evening hours with a better chance for storms on Tuesday.
