On this final day of August and meteorological summer, high pressure is delivering more spectacular weather. This system will provide another beautiful day tomorrow with seasonable temperatures and comfortable humidity levels. On Friday, as the center of the high moves east, humidity levels will slowly rise = becoming more humid.
Saturday and Sunday will be hot and humid with highs around 90 degrees. We expect Saturday to be rain-free but there is a 30% chance of afternoon thunderstorms on Sunday and a 50% chance of thunderstorms on Monday, Labor Day. The forecast challenge we have today is trying to gauge the timing and scope of the cold front that has prompted us to include thunderstorm chances for Sunday and Labor Day. As of this writing, we feel the cold front’s arrival might be actually on Monday thus the higher rain chances but please keep in touch over the weekend because thunderstorms will be possible both Saturday and Sunday. Kind of a big outdoor weekend coming up….so keep in touch for changing conditions and for the heads-up we will give you, if any storms are detected on Live Super Doppler 7 radar.
