As promised the second half of the week will be a welcome treat!

Wednesday: Mostly Sunny & Breezy; Still Hot

Highs: Low 90s | Wind: W 10-15 Gusts 25+

Overnight: Mostly Clear; Unseasonably Cool

Lows: 60s | Wind: NNW 5-10

Thursday: Sunny Skies; Noticeably Less Humidity; BEAUTIFUL!

Highs: Mid 80s | Wind: NNW 5-10

It’s already feels better this morning than it did yesterday at this time with a slight drop in the humidity courtesy of the front that pushed through yesterday. Once again today a secondary, or reinforcing, front will swing through the region later this afternoon. This front doesn’t have much moisture to work with and while I still see room for an isolated shower (<10%) north and west of town, I am removing that wording from the forecast. So what to expect today? Plenty of sunshine, slightly lower humidity, a nice westerly breezy that may gust up to 25+ mph at times and warm hot temperatures in the low 90s.

Tonight expect a moonlit sky with perhaps a few patchy clouds but the bigger story will be temperatures. For the first time in 25 days at Reagan National we will drop below the 70 degree mark overnight. With dropping dew points and clear skies our temperatures will finally sink in the 60s region wide.

Thursday remains my weather pick of the week with nearly wall to wall sunshine and blue sky combined with virtually no humidity and cooler temperatures in the mid-80s.

Friday conditions will still be pleasant but we will see a slight uptick in the humidity paired with partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-80s.

Another system heads our way toward over the weekend bringing a pretty good chance of rain especially Saturday night into Sunday.

~ Have a good day!
