An area of low pressure will bring the chance of rain to the beaches this weekend.
If you are heading to the beaches this weekend, there is a chance you may be followed by a little wet weather. An area of low pressure will move in from where it is now in the Midwest, and dive through the Mississippi and Ohio Valleys before moving into the Mid Atlantic. This will make for favorable conditions tomorrow, but big changes for Sunday.
Saturday: Partly Cloudy, A Touch Warmer
Highs: Low to Mid 80s
Winds will change to southerly, helping bring in a bit more moisture to the region and some slightly warmer temperatures in the low to mid 80s. Skies should be partly cloudy. A stray storm may be possible but I think the majority of the precipitation should hold off until Sunday morning at the beaches.
- HPC's Day 1-3 QPF from Friday morning through Monday morning
Sunday: Mostly Cloudy, Showers and Storms Likely
Highs: Around 80
Sunday will feature an area of low pressure and associated cold front moving into the region from the west. The weather team's thought is that rain will begin in the predawn hours Sunday and scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible through the remainder of the day. This would be one of those beach days to get up early and beat traffic home, or if you are staying, go ahead and buy some movie passes in advance or join the rest of the crowds at the Outlets.
