Tonight: Partly Cloudy and humid

Lows: 68-72 | Wind: Light

Friday: Partly Cloudy Chance PM T'storm

Highs: 84-89 | Wind: E-SE 5-10

Saturday: Increasing Clouds Rain and Windy Late Irene impact Saturday night

A hurricane watch is in effect for the Virginia/North Carolina border northward to Sandy Hook New Jersey, including Delaware Bay and Chesapeake Bay south of Smith Point.

A tropical storm watch is in effect for the Chesapeake Bay from Smith Point northward and the Tidal Potomac.

A tropical storm warning means that tropical storm conditions are expected somewhere within the warning area within 36 hours.

Today's storm moving to the south and Friday will be a day to prepare for a possible major impact from Irene in the area.  Do not plan any trips to the beach there are evacuations underway now.  Irene is unfortunately trending west and is now very likely to pass near or even to the west of Ocean City Sunday morning.  The threat of some major wind damage especially DC and east is increasing.  Will update ASAP.
