A frontal system will bring another chance for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon with highs in the lower 90s. Tonight, the front will begin to move to the east and lows will fall into the upper 60s in the suburbs to lower 70s inside the Beltway. Wednesday, breezy winds will help usher in drier air to the region making for a more comfortable day with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.
Much cooler air will settle into the region Thursday and Friday with highs in the mid 80s and comfortable levels of humidity with dew points in the mid 50s. A weak disturbance may swing through the region Thursday night into Friday morning, but only a few added clouds are expected. A stronger cold front will move into the region Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning bringing with it a chance for showers and thunderstorms.
