A cold front will slowly push through the region today producing variable cloudiness and the threat for scattered thundershowers. Additionally, winds will become breezy during the afternoon with temperatures falling during the evening. Partial clearing will take place overnight and in combination with northerly temperatures will drop off into the mid-40s in the suburbs and to around 50 degrees in the District. This will be one of the coldest nights that we have seen since early May. Friday through the weekend it will look and feel like Fall with highs each day in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees. Easterly, onshore, winds will also keep a fair amount of clouds around with limited breaks for sunshine.
