A strong cold front will push through the region today bringing with it breezy northerly winds and the chance for a few showers. Highs should reach the upper 70s under mostly cloudy skies. Much cooler air will filter into the region tonight, with lows in the 40s to near 50 degrees expected by tomorrow morning. Friday will be drastically cooler behind the front, with highs in the upper 60s tomorrow afternoon. The day should start off mostly sunny but clouds should filter into the region in the afternoon.

The weekend ahead still has some questions, but it appears there will be a better chance for clouds and possibly even a few rogue showers or sprinkles. An easterly flow is expected to set up as high pressure lies to the northeast. Expect partly sunny skies with highs near 70 on Saturday, and mostly cloudy to partly sunny skies with highs still near the 70 degree mark on Sunday. The best chance for precipitation appears to be Saturday southeast of town towards Southern Maryland.
