The remnants of tropical storm Lee will continue to affect the region bringing another chance for showers and a few storms today. Isolated heavy rain bands will set up across the area which will train over the same locations leading to localized flash flooding. Today the main threat has set up over Fairfax and Montgomery Counties. Tonight will still have the chance for a few showers with lows in the 60s and patchy fog developing late. Friday will still have a chance for showers but conditions should continue to improve with just a 40% chance and highs in the 70s to near 80 degrees.
The sun should finally return for the weekend with partly sunny skies on both Saturday and Sunday, though there will still be a chance for an isolated shower or storm in the afternoon hours as the remnant low still spins to the west.
