Text size Decrease Increase

TODAY: Cloudy, Breezy & Cool, Heavy Rain Possible (FLASH FLOOD WATCH)

Highs: 67-71 | Wind: NE 10-15

OVERNIGHT: Damp and Chilly, Heavy Pockets of Rain Possible

Lows: Low 60s | Wind: NE 5-10

TOMORROW: More Showers, Some Downpours, Not As Cool

Highs: Mid 70s | Wind: SE 5-10

What a difference a day makes….from a muggy mid 80s day yesterday to upper 60s and raw today! Moisture will be a part of the forecast for the foreseeable future. Rain may be lighter and less widespread this morning, but will pick up through the day with heavier downpours from time to time. That is why the Flash Flood Watch is in effect for the entire region. Wet and cool conditions persist overnight with more rain tomorrow.

The bottom line is that a cold front pushed through yesterday and is now hung up to our south. Left-over moisture from Tropical Storm Lee will ride along the front from our south and inundate us through the week. So pack an umbrella and some patience, especially with everyone back to work and school as summer has come to a close. Katia is major Category 4 (Kat 4) storm and will continue to churn in the Atlantic moving toward the ward the northwest. AN eventual turn to the north is anticipated keeping her just off shore. Have a good day!
