Showers and thunderstorms appear likely this afternoon.

This Afternoon: Mostly Cloudy, T-Showers Possible

Highs: Upper 70s to Near 80 | Wind: S 4-8 m.p.h.

Overnight: Mostly Cloudy

Lows: 60s | Wind: SE 4-8 m.p.h.

Wednesday: Mostly Cloudy, T-Showers Possible

Highs: Around 80 | Wind: SSE 4-8 m.p.h.

As the upper-level low continues to spin over the Midwest, our area lies to the east which will allow for southerly winds and plenty of available moisture. As a piece of energy slides around this low and into the Mid Atlantic today, expect an increasing chance for showers and thunderstorms. Highs should reach the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.

Tonight, showers and storms will come to an end and lows will fall into the 60s. Both Wednesday and Thursday will again feature a chance for showers and storms in the afternoon hours. Highs each day should approach the 80 degree mark. Big changes will move into the region Friday as a cold front pushes through from the west. Temperatures will reach the low to mid 70s on Friday, falling into the 60s for the weekend.
