The persistent train of moisture has left. Skies clear now all that moisture begins to move back into the air from the ground and the result is some fog overnight. Longer nights so the fag may persist a bit then morning sun means the ground warms and the moisture goes right back into the air and clouds form. The risk of a few showers but a bit more instability in the air Sunday so a chance, especially out in the Blue Ridge, of afternoon thunderstorms. But certainly no repeat of all this training rain. What happened in the atmosphere. Alex has a great new blog on what lead to a week of incredible, tragic rains. Enjoy a quieter, brighter weekend
