Overnight: Evening Shower; Otherwise Clearing & Cold

Another unsettled day as a cold front, currently just to our north, will progress through the region today and be to our south later tonight. The result will be a mainly cloudy day with occasional rain and breezy winds at 10-15 mph that could gust up to near 30mph at times. Aside from a lingering shower this evening skies will begin to clear and temperatures will fall off quickly dropping into the mid 30 to low 40s across the region. A Freeze Watch is in effect later tonight through Friday morning for Frederick, Carroll, Washington, and he pan handle of West VA. In these locations sub-freezing temperatures are possible and they could kill crops or other sensitive plants. An area of high pressure builds in across the region Friday allowing for partly sunny skies and chilly daytime highs in the low 50s. Saturday is looking rather wet, breezy, and raw with areas of rain in the forecast as an area of low pressure tracks up the east coast. Sunshine returns though for Sunday and for Halloween with cool highs in the 50s each day.

~ Have a good day!
