Warm start to the week but a cool-down is on the way.

Today: Clouds Give Way to Some Sun, Warm

Highs: 73°-77° | Wind: W 10-15

Overnight: Partly Cloudy, Cool

Lows: 50s | Wind: W 4-8

Tomorrow: Partly Sunny, Continued Warm

Highs: Mid 70s | Wind: NE 5-10

A weak disturbance to the north threw some clouds overhead overnight and a few sprinkles to the far NW, but it will push east while another digs east for mid-week.. This will leave the region with a dry work week start; morning clouds will give way to some clearing and highs in the 70s. Tomorrow brings a similar day with partly cloudy skies and unseasonable mild highs in the 70s. Clouds will increase with a chance of rain late at night.

Showers will really get going early Wednesday as the approaching system taps plenty of moisture. There could even be a few storms. Rainfall totals of 1-2 inches appear likely in the District. A cold front sweeps through late in the day bringing in breezy westerly winds and drying conditions. Thursday will feature breezy, potentially gusty winds in the wake of the front while dry, chilly weather rounds out the work week. Highs late week struggle to make it to 60 degrees. Have a great day.
