Columbus Day Forecast: D.C sun and warmth continues, changes coming

The stretch of beautiful weather will soon come to an end as clouds increase Tuesday along with a chance for showers.

Overnight: Mainly Clear and Cool

Highs: 45°- 57° | Wind: near Calm

Columbus Day: Mostly Sunny, High Clouds

Highs: 78°- 83° | Wind: NE 5-10 mph

Tuesday: Increasing Clouds, Later Afternoon Showers

Highs: near 75° | Wind: ENE 5-10

Cool and comfortable conditions will stay in the forecast overnight as temperatures fall into the 50s near the District and the 40s in the mountains. Areas of patchy fog will be possible during the early morning hours Monday.

Columbus Day will be filled with sunshine and above average temperatures. Highs will be in the lower to middle 80s. All good things must come to an end and this will be the case as we move into Tuesday and Wednesday. An area of low pressure will bring increasing clouds, showers and cooler temperatures.
