Improving D.C. forecast: near perfect October weather on the way

A stubborn area of low pressure will continue to bring unsettled weather to the mid-Atlantic overnight and into Monday. Lows will fall into the 40s with upper 30s not out of the question far west. Highs Monday will be in the 50s.
Tuesday begins the transition to a milder temperatures and clearing skies. With increasing winds and gradual clearing, highs should jump into the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. Near perfect October weather arrives Wednesday extending into the upcoming weekend. Daytime high temperatures be in the lower 70s with sunshine, followed by crisp and clear overnights.
