A frontal zone has slipped into the region today bringing with it some light showers and even a rumble of thunder. Expect highs to range from the 70s south of D.C. to lower 60s northwest of town. Tonight, a continued chance for showers will be possible with lows in the upper 40s to mid 50s. This front will hang around for much of the day tomorrow as well, with plenty of clouds and more showers possible. Winds will become breezy tomorrow afternoon as the front moves through the region.
Much cooler air will filter into the region Thursday night into Friday morning, with the majority of the area waking up to temperatures in the 30s. Highs Friday should only top out in the mid 50s under partly cloudy skies. Saturday appears to have a number of questions associated with it as an area of low pressure skirts by to the southeast. There is a chance for rain with the highest liklihood south and east of the city. High temperatures will be quite chilly only approaching the 50 degree mark. Sunday should improve greatly with highs in the upper 50s under sunny skies as high pressure moves back overhead.
