High pressure will continue to be in control of the region on this Columbus Day with highs in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Tonight will be seasonable with lows in the 50s to mid 60s under partly cloudy skies. Tuesday will bring added clouds and moisture as an area of low pressure moves into the region from the south. Highs will be slightly cooler in the low to mid 70s and a chance for showers will begin in the evening hours especially to the south.
A higher likelihood for rain exists Tuesday night into Wednesday morning as the low moves north. Wednesday will have a high chance for scattered showers through the day before they come to an end Wednesday night. Another slight chance for showers lies on Thursday afternoon and evening as another disturbance passes through the region.
