Today will be a lot like yesterday, but two systems will join as one to cause an unsettled Wednesday and drop temperatures for the end of the week and weekend.

Tuesday: Partly Cloudy & Comfortable

Highs: 69-74 | Wind: SE 2-8

Overnight: Increasing Clouds, Possible Shower

Lows: Upper 50s | Wind: E 2-6

Wednesday: Cloudy, Off & On Rain

Highs: Near 70 | Wind: E 10-15

Today will look and feel a lot like yesterday, but two systems are joining forces to provide rain on our Wednesday and cooler temperatures by the end of the week and weekend. Expect partly cloudy skies today and afternoon highs in the lower 70s. We are watching two low pressure systems to our south, one of which will move our way from Florida while the other comes from the Lower Mississippi Valley. These lows will combine to form one larger and stronger storm with good upper-level support. In turn, tomorrow looks rather unsettled with off & on rain and up to 1.25" possible.

Cooler air will filter into the Washington area on Thursday along with gusty winds, so expect afternoon high temperatures closer to 60 degrees Thursday into Saturday. Vast sunshine looks likely again this weekend with Fall-like temperatures running a few degrees below average as high pressure settles in. Actually, it looks like a great weekend to view the fall foliage. Here's arecent blog with more information:
