Sunshine will dominate the D.C. area for the next week or so
This Afternoon: Mostly Sunny, Breezy & Warmer
Highs: Mid to Upper 60s | Wind: NW 10-15 m.p.h.
Tonight: Mostly Clear, Cool
Lows: Upper 40s to Lower 50s | Wind: NW 5-10 m.p.h.
Wednesday: Mostly Sunny, Warmer
Highs: Low 70s | Wind: NW 8-12 m.p.h.
It's not often in D.C. where northwesterly winds will bring in a warmer airmass but today the region will experience just that. Highs should reach the mid to upper 60s today under partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. Winds will also be a bit breezy at times out of the northwest around 10 to 15 m.p.h. Tonight, winds will diminish and skies will remain clear with lows in the 40s to lower 50s. Wednesday will be a touch warmer than today, with highs in the lower 70s under mostly sunny skies.
The forecast for the remainder of the work week, into the weekend and even middle of next week is for high pressure to remain locked in overhead. Highs should stay around the 70 degree mark and lows near the 50 degree mark. This pattern appears like it will hold overhead through the end of next week so enjoy this beautiful fall weather!
