Are you ready for temperatures to dip even more? A freeze watch will be in effect tonight for northern and western counties while a chilly rain falls throughout the day today.

Today: Occasional Showers, Mainly Early, Becoming Breezy & Cooling

Highs: 61°-66° | Wind: SW to NW 10-20+

Overnight: Mainly Clear, Very Cold

Lows: 34°-42° | Wind: NW 10

Tomorrow: Patchy Clouds, Quite Chilly

Highs: 49°-53° | Wind: NE 5-10

Expect occasional rain today, especially this morning, as an area of low pressure moves across the area. Highs will peak in the 60s before dropping back this afternoon as the cooler air begins to arrive. With the arrival of the cooler air, a gusty breeze will develop out of the northwest and dry air will rush in. Expect mainly clear skies overnight with cold overnight lows in the 30s and lower 40s. In fact a Freeze Watch is in effect for northern and western Maryland, as well as the panhandle of West Virginia.

Tomorrow we squeeze out a dry, albeit cold day. Our next storm system will already have its sights set on the region and this will make for a very cold rain with highs in the forties. It will be snowing several thousand feet up, so some of the high spots across northern Maryland may see wet snow and even enough to whiten the ground. Sunday brings a drier day in time for the Marine Corp Marathon. Have a great one!
