Our luck holds as unseasonably mild air will be with us again today. But increasing cloudiness hints at cooler and rainier days ahead.
This Afternoon: Partly Cloudy & Continued Mild
Highs: 62-68 | Wind: S 5 mph
Tonight: Partly Cloudy, Seasonably Cool
Lows: 34-45 | Wind: S 5-10 mph
Sunday: Turning Mostly Cloudy, Breezy, Mild
Highs: 60-65 | Wind: S 10-20 mph
After two days of made-to-order weather, some subtle changes today will signal cooler and wetter days ahead. But don't fret yet! Today will again be unseasonably mild with highs in the 60s, southerly breezes, and partly sunny skies. Those high cirrus clouds you'll see are the vanguard of a potent storm developing in the nation's mid-section that will make its way here by the beginning of next week. Look for clouds to continue to increase tonight and throughout the day tomorrow as the low pressure center draws closer and our benevolent high moves farther to the east. Sunday will still be quite mild with highs in the lower 60s and the prospects for uncomplicated travel are good.
Rainy and somewhat cooler days are likely for November's waning days - and we could use a spot of rain since the month's deficit is over an inch - before much chillier air moves in for midweek; daytime highs in the mid to upper 40s will be stark reminders that the calendar says "December!" Continue to enjoy - and give thanks for - these early Christmas gifts from Mother Nature.
