A strong cold front with rain will move across the area Wednesday. Right now mild almost humid air is over us and there are some showers in the area. By midday Wednesday into Wednesday night there may be some areas of moderate to even heavy rain and some areas north and west of D.C. will likely receive 1 inch or more rain. Much cooler air comes in for Thursday but a dry pattern returns for the weekend.
